Our story

From a balcony to a hall

The Chabad House started on a makeshift balcony, with a small kitchen cooking for dozens. Today we've outgrown the balcony.

Nice to meet you

You came up the hill for the quiet. So did we. We came to Kasar as shluchim, the Rebbe's emissaries, so every Jew who gets here has a warm home: for Shabbat, for a question, for a cup of chai, or just to talk.

Rachel runs the kitchen and the mikvah, and makes sure no one goes hungry. Tal takes care of the classes, the songs and the hugs.
